Twirly Batik Skirt
While visiting Sante Fe, New Mexico, I fell in love with the Artist's colony. I found so many inspirations in the open air markets as well as in the unusual and unique style of Sante Fe.
Back in California, using a beautiful line of Batik fabrics, I constructed several New Mexico inspired skirts for myself and a few friends. While wearing my skirt I was then encouraged by several shop owners to offer a production pattern. Thus was born the Twirly Batik Skirt. Each skirt is unique in that the owner picks from 12 to 14 fat quarters in colors and patterns of their own choosing. The resulting skirt is one that gets compliments every time it is worn.
Did I mention that this pattern is Fat Quarter Friendly??? I have also had customers email with photos of thier skirts constructed of denim and other fabrics. It is very adaptable.
